About The Seminar
A seminar organized by the Department of Aviation Operation Management, BSMRAAU on the theme ‘Industry-University Collaboration towards Sustainable Development of Aviation Industry in Bangladesh: Challenges and Way Forward’ has been scheduled on 20 December 2021 at 1000 hours at Shaheen Hall, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1215. This seminar would highlight the emergence of I-U collaboration, challenges towards development of aviation sector and challenges towards the development of aviation professionals in Bangladesh as well. In this seminar three research papers would be presented by eminent aviation experts of Bangladesh. The emergence of I-U collaboration for the sustainable development of aviation sector in Bangladesh will be discussed in the first paper presentation by the eminent speaker and one of renowned aviation expert in Bangladesh working with the national carrier of the country. In the second paper presentation, being a CEO of a private airline company in Bangladesh, the distinguished speaker will highlight the challenges towards the path of I-U partnership & necessary way forward. And finally in the third paper presentation, necessity of aviation professionals in Bangladesh and arisen constraints towards the development of aviation professionals in Bangladesh and potential future measures will be discussed by another renowned aviation professional of Bangladesh who has been working with Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh for years. Open discussion and Q/A session will be conducted during the seminar to share knowledge & exchange views. Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, M.P, Honorable Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of Bangladesh has kindly consented to grace the seminar as Chief Guest. And Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Nazrul Islam, GD (P), BSP, nswc, afwc, psc, Vice Chancellor, BSMRAAU will complement the event as Seminar Chair. It is expected that the seminar organized by the Dept of AVOM, BSMRAAU will be able to capture the need of our nation to become an air hub in future and address the common interests of the relevant stakeholders. Besides, it will be an excellent opportunity for exchanging views among the participants to identify the scope of industry-university collaboration for the development of aviation industry in Bangladesh. Govt. and Non-Government officials, intellectuals and young researchers from Bangladesh including different stakeholders of aviation industry and education sectors are expected to join the seminar.
